Such size of the screen shows portability of these laptops, but it can be uncomfortable for you if you are using lots of texts or watching videos.
Toshiba had introduced its 13inch Chromebook back in 2014, which features excellent specifications but its display was average. To be honest, screens of most Chromebooks are really disappointing.
Mostly, these laptops are featuring a native resolution of 1366 x 768 resolution on cheaper TN panels. Which means that they provide cold and muted display.
Only, the laptops introduced by HP and Google are featuring luscious IPS displays and of course, these laptops are very expensive as well.
And, now Toshiba has stepped into the list of elite brands by introducing the excellent Chromebook.

Just like its beauty, the laptop is very strong, neat and lightweight as it weighs almost 1.35kg.
Some ports of these laptops enhance the casing including one HDMI output, USB 2.0, USB 3.0 and an SD/SDHC card reader.
The most interesting thing about Toshiba Chromebooks is that the previous version of Toshiba Chromebook 2 was having two USB 3.0 ports. Whereas, this version is having only one USB 3.0 pot.
Moreover, this USB 3.0 port is capable of allowing users to sleep and charge, which means that you can connect your smartphone to it. And, it will charge your mobile even if the Chromebook is in sleep mode.
Keyboard And Touchpad
The Keyboard of Toshiba Chromebook 2 is really large and it is sketched just like its standard design.
The standard design of Toshiba Chromebooks is simple and large. The noticeable thing on the keyboard is a caps-lock key, which is not replaced with a search key.
But, the company provides you a feature of search key as well. Well, if you want to use this functionality you simply need to press Alt+Search toggles caps-lock mode on and off.
Toshiba Chromebook 2’s keyboard is very pleasant with very few small flexing and the shallow layout of the keyboard can be used to in a couple of minutes.
Ports And Webcam
The left side of Toshiba Chromebook 2 is featuring the port of the proprietary power connector, a USB 2.0 port along with a memory card port.
The memory card port is capable of supporting SDHC, SDXC (up to 2TB), Mini SD and Micros cards as well.
And, on the other side of laptops, you will find headphone/mic, a USB 3.0 port, an HDMI port along with a security lock slot.
Coming to Webcam, we noticed that the Toshiba Chromebook 2 is featuring a colorful HD webcam of CB35.
The webcam is producing highly noisy photos although there are not enough details about its webcam.
But we can say that this webcam just like other standard webcams introduced in various Notebooks.
With the introduction of full HD, IPS display, the Chromebooks have been upgraded to the next level.
Previously, the HP 11 was featuring an excellent panel and it really needs something to look more beautiful.

Because the performance of HP 11 was not much strong and good, as the laptops slow down if you open some tabs of Chrome browser.
However, Toshiba Chromebook 2 does not have such lags as it features Baytrail inspired Intel Celeron CPU, 4GB of RAM, and the resident 16GB SSD storage.
The navigation between different web pages is really fashionable and smart as well as you will be able to see everything clear and detailed.
The Chromebook lovers will be happy to see such type of performance and features as well. These laptops feature a native resolution of 1920 x 1080, which makes text bit smaller but you can zoom in and out using its zoom feature on ChromeOS.
Which allows users to resize all the content in the main panel with engaging clarity. The max zoom is 150% on these laptops.
The company is also offering a lower version with a native resolution of 1366 x 768 for almost $50 less than this one.
The battery life of this version is few hours extra than the battery life of Toshiba Chromebook 2 and it features 2GB of RAM.
However, all other features are very similar to Toshiba Chromebook 2. However, the whole HD model is just an amazing bargain shows that there is no skimp on the cost.
As the company is offering such great thing for your money. Lets us talk about Toshiba Chromebook 2’s battery life, these laptops can last for almost 7 hours if we play a movie in a loop. Which means that you can be able to do your daily work easier.
The latest feature included in Toshiba Chromebook is its set of stereo speakers. Its stereo speakers are designed and developed by a headphone manufacturer company named as Skullcandy.
However, if you are finding these speakers in a casing of these laptops, then you will not be able to find them.
As the company has placed speakers under the keyboard. Well, if you turn on volume at max level, then these laptops are capable of filling a small room.
The speakers have good definition and there is clear distinction between the sounds of instruments and vocal as well. But, the sound is still empty/hollow of real bass due to some hardware reasons.
After all, Toshiba Chromebook 2 is really a lightweight and thin device. Fortunately, its sound is good and reasonable for movies and music lovers.
Toshiba Chromebook 2 is featuring a 1.7-GHz Intel Celeron 3215U processor along with 4gb OF RAM. These laptops are delivering good and solid performance.
As the users can be able to navigate between different tabs including continuous stream from Spotify and YouTube as well as TweetDeck.
These laptops run smoothly even you are using above-mentioned things along with a Google Doc and Cut the Rope operating in the background.
Toshiba Chromebook 2’s battery life is just fine as these laptops are featuring 45-watt-hour battery. The laptop can last up to 8 hours and 30 minutes as expected.
But, if we go for web surfing over WiFi with a brightness set to 100 nits, this Chromebook can last for 10 hours and 5 minutes.
It is longer than the battery life of Samsung Chromebook 2 with a battery life of 9 hours and 34 minutes.
Its battery life is even longer than the battery life of Acer Chromebook 13 has 8 hours and 8 minutes of battery life. It is even more than an average category with almost 7 hours of battery life.
Almost all Chromebook till now are powered by Chrome Operating System of Google. As the company has been adding new classification, the Chromebooks are becoming more useful for daily work.
Of course, you need internet for performing a wide variety of daily tasks, but most of the companies have also introduced an offline version of their apps.
Offline apps include Google Docs, Gmail, Evernote, Pocket along with large number of productivity and entertainment programs as well.
Interestingly, Google has been giving a lot of surprises by introducing more interesting apps to its Chrome store.
Yes, there are few restrictions on accessing apps when you are offline but when you go online you can access an extensive library and all other web-based services as well.
Obviously, few restrictions are also there, like you cannot be able to access iTunes on Chrome Operating system.

You can use Skype by applying some tricks. But, the company has introduced a useful alternative Skype known as Google Hangouts.
You can access and use Microsoft Office by downloading and installing free online versions. Most of the free online version is feature-stripped but you can sync up using your OneDrive account.
Which allows you to edit them in full desktop screen version of the suite even if you are at work or in your Office or on a Windows/Mac computer.
However, the office suite of Google is very good. Moreover, Google provides Chromebook 100GB of storage on Google Drive, which means that you are not going to have less storage space.
