Definitely, the company has putten its logo on the lid and bezel of Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA. It has flexible and stable hinges that allow these laptops to bend back to 360-degrees.

The weight of these laptops is approximately 2.6 pounds and it is 0.6 inches thick. It is lighter than Acer Chromebook R 13 which is 3.2 pounds.

The Dell Chromebook 13 which weighs almost 3.2 pounds and the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 Chromebook which has a weight of 3.2 pounds as well.

The users are capable of charging Flip and can connect it to peripherals through any of its USB Type-C ports which are located on the left and right side of the laptop.

Additionally, the company has also placed headphone jack of notebook along with the volume and power buttons.

The headphone jack, volume and power button are placed on the left side of the laptops and on the other side the company placed microSD reader.

The company did not find it right to introduce Type-A USB 3.0 ports which shows that the company is having some better plans for the future.

The Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is featuring a 1920 x 1080 pixel panel screen which is capable of providing crispy images. It also features a solid brightness along with a decent color combination.

Well, if you will ever experience or want to see something in HD with different color mixtures then you will experience that all colors will have their own impact on the screen.

But, the Dell Chromebook 13 and a normal ultrabook typically produces more percent of sRGB colors, which are 96% and 98% respectively as compared to Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA.

The Flip of Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is of island style, full size, backlight keyboard which allows you to have an excellent typing experience.

Well, some of the users have tested their typing speed on some online typing test center. One of the users has managed to type 77 words in a minute, which is very close to the average of 80 words per minute.

These laptops are having good key functions because there is having almost 1.6milimeters of travel between the keys.

Yes, it is in the range of 1.5 and 2mm which is preferred by most of the experts. The pressure that is required to press the keys is very neat to 60 but it will be more good if it is near 49 or so.

This version is so fantastic as you will not experience any lag if you open 15 Chrome tabs running Slack, Gmail, and TweetDeck along with a 1080p video running on YouTube.

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA Performance

Let us come to the benchmarks, the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA has managed to score almost 127 on the JetStream benchmark for a JavaScript performance.

That is better than the $399 Media Talk MTB8173C powered Acer Chromebook R 13 which scores 59 pts.

And, the Dell Chromebook with an Intel Celeron managed to score 86 pts and the average ultrabook yet again produces more pts than the Asus Chromebook and the Dell Chrome book which are 161 pts.

The Lenovo ThinkPad with an Intel Core i5 processor dominated the test by scoring an average of 171 pts.

However, the performance of Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA has just fine performance in WebGL Aquarium test.

As these laptops deliver almost 2,000 fish at the rate of 50fps. Yes, it is much better than that of Acer Chromebook R 13 and the Dell Chromebook 13 scoring 20-40 fps and 48 fps respectively.

However, the Lenovo ThinkPad 13 Chromebook managed to score 60 fps, thus allowing animations to run more smoothly.

During the benchmark test, the Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA tends to make some hissing/buzzing noise, very rare to witness such things.

Battery Life

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is having fine battery life. As these laptops manage to lasts for almost 9 hours ( exact is 8 hours and 52 minutes).

Amazingly, it finally beats the ultrabook with an average of 8 hours and 3 minutes of battery life.

But, if we compare it to other Chromebooks like Lenovo ThinkPad 13 Chromebook comprises a battery life of 9 hours and 8 minutes, these laptops manage to reach Lenovo ThinkPad somehow.

But, It is far behind from Acer Chromebook R 13 and the Dell Chromebook 13, constituting a battery life of 11 hours and 13 hours and 25 minutes respectively.

Webcam

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA features a 0.9-megapixel webcam which is capable of capturing grainy images having mixed colors reproduction.

Yes, in some cases it does completely change the color like it changes the color completely from red to orange.

Heat

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is a thin and light laptop and its stay cool under pressure.

One of the users have played 15 minutes of HD video and found that the laptop delivers an acceptable temperature which is 95 degrees Fahrenheit comfort threshold.

However, the touchpad’s temperature was 81 degrees Fahrenheit. And the temperature in the center of the Keyboard and bottom was approximately 85 and 87 degrees respectively.

Software

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA Software

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is capable of running Chrome OS, lightest version of Google alternative to Windows, which is currently dependent on Chrome Web Store for different apps.

 Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA will be having Android app emulation very soon or already have it.

Thus, using this 2-in-1 laptop you can be able to use most of those apps using its touchscreen and bend back design.

Configuration Options

The version about I am writing is featuring a 0.9-GHz Intel Core m3-6y30 CPU, 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of eMMC storage.

Asus Chromebook Flip C302CA is also having a Pentium processor and 32GB of storage.

But you may not be able to get some of the multitasking-enabling performance that is being featured in Core m3 model.
